Rebecca Martino MSc Candidate

Rebecca hails from Ipswich, MA, USA and cheers on the New England Patriots. Following her stepmom’s footsteps, she attended StFX and in 2022 graduated with Honours BSc in Math with a minor in Climate and Environment. Her undergraduate research focused on how population growth, climate change, and extreme climate events affect food security in Nigeria. Despite her childhood dream of becoming a professional baker, Rebecca now happily works on FluxLab’s mobile surveying team assessing methane emissions at landfill sites across Canada. She loves exploring Canada while on field campaigns, and squeezes in adventures through the great outdoors whenever she can. Outside of work, Rebecca keeps her baking dreams alive in the kitchen and fulfills her newfound love for the gym whenever possible. Her HP sorting house is Hufflepuff.
