Meaghan Amaral, MSc Candidate
Meaghan is a graduate student from Barrie, Ontario. In 2024, she completed a BASc in Climate and Environment with Co-op Education from St. Francis Xavier University. During her time in the co-op program, she had the opportunity to work at a landfill for 8 months, which sparked her interest in landfills and the world of waste disposal as a whole. To begin her Master’s, she is currently working on developing various measurement approaches involving drone-based sensors for landfill measurement with ECCC (Environment and Climate Change Canada). Outside of school, she likes to spend time in nature, especially at a beach or lake, hanging out with friends, and trying her hand at crocheting.
