Lynsay Spafford, BSc

Lynsay holds an Honours Environmental Sciences Biology degree, and was a NSERC-USRA recipient for 2015 and 2016.  She is also winner of an AGU Best Student Paper award from the 2016 Fall Meeting.  Lynsay has worked in the lab for 4 years and has been involved in projects from CCS, to lake gas-atmosphere exchange, to mobile surveying – and has traveled across Canada on multiple occasions on lab projects.  She is truly multi-functional, but has emerged as one of the group’s measurement hardware programming specialists.  Her current full-time role involves optimizing mobile surveying measurement hardware, including real-time data aggregation and telemetry.  Lynsay is native to Athabasca, Alberta and she is an outdoors enthusiast, who also enjoys dancing, fiddle, and baking.
