Donya Ghasemi, PhD Candidate

Donya is enrolled in a Ph.D. in Oil and Gas Engineering at Memorial University. Her background is in Civil Engineering, and she holds a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Tehran, where she focused on developing a carbon footprint model for cement industries.

At FluxLab, Donya is part of our national landfill project in which we are quantifying methane emissions at sites from coast to coast. Using a top-down emission rate retrieval algorithm (TERRA) she analyzes data collected during the project’s flight campaign. She is also involved in the passive measurement portion of the Alliance-funded regional-scale measurement project.
