Melissa Pacheco, BASC
Melissa holds a bachelor’s degree in Climate and Environment. As a Data Analyst she helps us better understand the methane measurements we collect and relate it to meteorological data. She writes scripts, cleans and processes data collected from our massive national landfill study in which we are collecting methane measurements. Melissa has experience assisting ecological restoration projects. Outside her local city Guayaquil, she spearheaded cleaning an area of mangroves where, as a child, she used to escape to relax and play. Melissa is outdoorsy and has another passion which may come as a surprise: she’s been cheerleading all her life and was on the X cheer team! To unwind, Melissa is often found in the kitchen trying to recreate the familiar smells, especially of fried plantains, from her home country, Ecuador.
