Jordan Stuart, MSc Candidate

Jordan is a second year Master’s student from Calgary, Alberta. She completed Bachelor of Science and with a major in Chemistry and a minor in Earth Sciences. Her undergraduate work focused on reducing CO₂ by using electrochemistry to turn excess CO₂ into other useful products.

Last year she was involved in our extensive field campaign wherein we surveyed nearly 150 landfills across the country. She is currently in the process of comparing emissions measured by our mobile surveying campaign with emissions estimated by ECCC (Environment Climate Change Canada) modelling, as well as with emissions reported by landfill operators to the Greenhouse Gas Reporting program. Her comparative analysis aims to determine the causes of discrepancies between the three emissions inventories.
