Renée McDonald, BSc Cand
Renée is a third year Environmental Sciences Biology student, and multiple NSERC USRA recipient. She has been working with Hanna Lee and others from UNI Research in Bergen to built an automated CO2 and CH4 soil gas sampler for a permafrost degradation site in northern Norway. The system was installed in the field season of 2017, and like other specialized equipment we have built for similar projects over the years, the system will return on Arctic climate change effects. Renée hails from Surrey, BC, and loves spending time outdoors hiking and running.
